Kerrynne Liddle is an Australian Liberal Senator for South Australia, elected in 2022, and the first Indigenous federal parliamentarian from the state. An Arrernte woman born in Alice Springs in 1967, she brings a diverse background spanning journalism, business, and public service. Liddle began her career in media with ABC and Channel 7 Adelaide before founding her own public relations firm. She later held leadership roles in sectors including tourism, energy, and Indigenous affairs. Her board experience includes Indigenous Business Australia, the South Australian Housing Trust, and the councils of both the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia. She holds a BA in Management and an MBA, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Liddle has served as Shadow Minister for Child Protection and the Prevention of Family Violence, Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians, and Shadow Minister for Social Services.
